The National Association of Volunteer Programs in Local Government‘s purpose is to strengthen volunteer programs through leadership, education, advocacy, networking, and information exchange. NAVPLG is the foremost international association of directors, managers, and administrators of volunteer programs in local government organizations. The challenges and issues for volunteer resource management in cities, counties and state government may differ substantially from those in “traditional” non-profit-based programs. They share best practices, offer training, provide networking opportunities and respresent their members to both volunteer and government entities. www.navplg.org
