“Carve Your Own Path” incorporates an inspiring personal story with practical examples and exercises around how to advocate for and grow your volunteer administration position and department even in the most rigid of structures or dysfunctional environments. This workshop explores three main topics: Identifying Your Unique Gifts and Talents, Persuasion, and Countering Toxicity.
Moderator – Faiza Venzant, CVA
As leaders of volunteers, we bring people together and speak the language of connectivity. At a time when keeping people apart has been a safer choice in slowing the spread of COVID-19, we are being challenged to rethink connections, steward from afar, build relationships in new ways and become proficient with technologies we might not have had to use before. In this session, we’ll talk about how the pandemic has changed how we manage volunteers now and what we might expect in years to come.
